Over the past few months, Blockchain has seen some exciting developments, big and small. We couldn’t have done it without our amazing – and growing! – team of innovators, collaborators, and bitcoin pioneers. Let us introduce you to four recent additions. They may be new but they’ve already made a big impact!
Adam Bennett, Android Developer
Ironically, Adam’s introduction to Android development began while he was working as an iOS Specialist at Apple. He was most recently a developer with Flypay, a company that uses technology to optimize the hospitality industry. Adam owned 100% of the company’s Continuous Integration procedures, and championed Unit and UI testing in all apps. Prior to his development career, he pursued sound engineering and even time spent working with Maroon 5 on a promo single, which was his proudest and most surreal moment in the field. We couldn’t be more excited to add Adam’s diverse skillset to our Android development team.
Chloe Marten, UI/UX Design
After graduating with Advertising and Sociology degrees from UGA, Chloe relocated to San Francisco. While working as an Account Manager and Digital Producer for high profile accounts including Apple, Chloe said she fell in love with design. She shifted gears and began pursuing UX design full time. Discovering her professional true love inspired some major life changes: relocating to NYC, morning yoga rituals, and mentoring high school girls to pursue education and careers in tech. She spent one year at The Economist designing mobile apps before we had the opportunity to welcome her and her mad skills into our NYC office.
Kate Nemeth, People Ops Associate
Kate loves the abundant opportunities NYC brings and her resume illustrates that point perfectly. She’s been a nanny, children’s show writer, and operations firefighter to name a few. The common thread? Being able to put her passion for people to work. An invaluable asset to our People Ops team, Kate is responsible for bringing amazing talent to our door, and making sure our New York office runs smoothly and that team members have everything they need to perform at their best. When she’s not going out of her way to help others, Kate loves indulging in obscure and foreign films, but The Shining remains her ultimate favorite.
Enid Courtney, Senior Accountant
Enid attended the University of Johannesburg for her undergraduate degree, and continued on to complete her Masters in Accounting at the University of KwaZulu Natal in South Africa. During her time with BDO Seidman LLP, she was recruited by PricewaterhouseCoopers as an Audit Senior Associate, and later promoted to Audit Manager. At that time her main audit clients were from the hospitality, venture capital, medical, and mining industries. Enid’s portfolio also includes accounting and auditing roles with companies like Absa, Deloitte & Touche (Ireland), and Syniverse. Tasked with the challenge of accounting for a bitcoin company, she also serves as our resident expert in Bitcoin GAAP standards while managing our Luxembourg office.
